Sechs Kies 1st Album :: Bae Shin Gam (Betrayal)

I was thinking whether should i keep post the recent activities or the good ole times of Jekki, and i choose to do the latter. well this blog is for Sechs Kies and them only, so might as well i put up the rest of the Jekki stages and stuffs (and im not even close to 1/10th of what i intended in the first place, yup...there's a long way for me to go) but i'll put the recent ones too when the 'time' comes and that's that.. and here it goes.

Bae Shin Gam (배신감), which translates as 'betrayal', is one other song Jekki staged during their 1st album activity. It has very bouncy active and should i say 'bubbly' rhythm and melodies but the main point of my view for this song is the lyrics. The one thing i like about Sechs Kies' songs is that the lyric contains the actual story itself. It's not about love agonies, love desire songs like, i love you till the very end blah blah blah, or how could u leave me for all those good times we had together blah blah blah. it isn't something like dragging me into annoyance. (i really dont like songs with lyrics nothing but love, tears itself, something like seriously sad sad korean ballads) Most of the Jekki's songs do have a 'story' to tell.

In the song Bae Shin Gam, the girl was highly obsessed towards the guy, apparently the girl wasn't that pretty and in the lyrics it is actually mentioned that the girl was 'ugly' LOL, so the guy took her in for sympathy and from the advise from his mom to take precautious abt dating pretty girls. But after awhile she cheats on him. The guy says the end of the relationship is okay cuz the girl, not him, started all this relationship thing, but later on he realizes that he does have strong feelings for her, so he wants her to come back. The main cutey cute point, for me, about this song is that there are few puns. one is that when the guy called her house, her grandpa picks it up and says "is it Mr. Bae?" and it sounds like (in korean) "Bae ssin gam?" which sounds very similar to the title of the song "Bae Shin Gam" (and by this convo, the guy realizes the guy who she cheated with has a last name of 'Bae' LOL) i really think it's hilarious how they are using words to make it humorous/connectible thru the songs and the title.

Another thing i like about Bae Shin Gam is that each Jekki members have a hand puppet on them, and Jaejin even throws it to the fans! XD Nice manners. For all i know they had those cute hand puppets on for the most of their Bae Shin Gam stages. =)

sigh anyway i truly miss the days of Sechs Kies.

Ah so thats is what the song is all abt. Baeshingam really has a cutesy kind of rhythm when i first heard it, even their perf was cute too esp the jaejin intro part wif that donald duck hand puppet which i believe is the pun part u referring to izzru?Actually i find that sechskies first 2 album are more cutesy and bubbly type of song than their later part album guess its to complement on their debut outlook. Thank you izzru for the summary of song storyline, it make me understand the song more now =) Sigh like you i terribly miss the jekki days too if only time could revert back to those jekki days ;(
Btw izzru i support your conclusion thoughts on posting jekki old moments that way im able to reminisce on those happy ole jekki days and at the same time get to knw more abt jekki stuff as well :)

Do u remember the song 'taming of the shrew' (말괄량이 길들이기) in Sechs Kies' 2nd album? isn't that and this baeshingam has the similar tune and melody? I really do get mixed up those two time to time. they are so similar i seldom forget which is from 1st and which is from the 2nd LOLs
I'll prolly put up more of 'Jekki' rather than recent of the solos, other than when two or mor members are appearing on a same show (like when Suwon appeared in CTP with Jiwon) im more of a jekki fan than the solo side, and i really can't keep up with jiwon and all his MCing the new shows.. =)
and I'll tried to translate the lyrics next time! =) cuz it'll be more of listening to the song rather than just knowing what it's about, X(

Yes yes i remember the song taming of the shrew of coz and i agree both baeshingam and taming of shrew had the similar cutesy and bubbly type of melody even their beat sound alittle similar lol i guess it must have been the same producer who produce these 2 songs haha..im so glad that you decide to put up more jekki stuff than their solo not that i hate their solo but juz that frankly like u im oso more of the jekki fan than their solo side :D

haha i do really get a mixup between those two songs time to time, i really wonder they have same producers or not. (i'll look up - and YES the composers are the same, no wonder!) im definitely gonna put more sechs kies stuffs rather than the recent ones. i really am more of a fan towards Jekki than the other and am so glad that you are on a same fanism page jama

=D Absolute me same as u kate, i really do get confused with the front part, whenever i listen to the song im like, is it baeshingam or the taming of the shrew? But after i hear Jaeduc's friendly dialec phrase at the end of the songs i know it's taming of the shrew LOL if not it's the baeshingam! haha.
